The Hamptons, Long Island AVA

Long Island is one of the warmest growing areas in New York due to its proximity to the moderating temperatures of the Atlantic Ocean. For this reason, it's possible to grow Vitis vinifera grapes here like Cabernet Franc and Chardonnay.

That being said, The Hamptons, Long Island is the coolest sub-AVA on Long Island, known for its light-bodied red, rosé, white and sparkling wines with higher acidity. The Hamptons, Long Island was established in 1985.
