Growing Conditions

Our 2022 growing season was marked by an abundance of sunlight and a lack of rainfall. These two factors combined with a cold spell in mid-January to lessen yield totals for many varieties. However, the fruit that was grown reached enticing levels of ripeness that have us excited about the quality and aging potential of many wines from this vintage.

Bottling

Bottled Feb. 22, 2024. Cork closure

Winemaking

So excited, in fact, that for the first time in our near 50-year history, we bottled and are now releasing a single vineyard Cabernet Franc. This bottling, from grapes grown on our Lone Oak Vineyard situated just north of our winery, comes from the above mentioned warm and dry growing season of 2022.

Aging

The resulting wine from some of the ripest fruit we've ever grown is bold, full-bodied, and complex. We suggest decanting this wine for 30-45 minutes before enjoying, or aging the bottle for a few more months before enjoying. This wine will age beautifully for years to come. .

Food Pairing

Ripe tannins are an ideal complement for pizza, grilled meats, pasta & cheese dishes.
