Palate
A superbly balanced Riesling with peach and apricot aromas accompanied by lively citrus and pineapple flavors. A long lingering finish glides over the palate and makes it a perfect Riesling for all occasions.
Growing Conditions
The 2011 season started with a very wet spring, hot and dry July and August then a wet fall again. Harvest towards the end of October was well rewarded by a much drier and warmer period with superior results.
Harvest
Harvested in the cool early morning ins mid-October, from blocks of clones 90, 110, 198 and 239.
Bottling
May 15 & 17, 2012. Stelvin Closure.
Limited quantities, Library Wine. Club membership required for access.
Winemaking
Comprised of 4 lots, independently fermented in stainless then blended into final wine. Juice fined prior to fermentation rather than fining the blended wine.
Food Pairing
A natural accompaniment for sharp cheese, pork or poultry dishes, or any foods that you’d squeeze a lemon on.
