Growing Conditions

Cool & dry start to the year with late bud break and bloom. A warm and dry spring and summer with cool nights. Vines were healthy, fruit was ripe with fresh acidity.

Harvest

Grapes were clean, ripe and fresh. Cabernet Franc was harvested on October 15 at 21 Brix, and October 22 at 23.4 Brix. Lemberger was harvested on October 7 at 22.6 Brix.
All Martini family vineyards fruit.

Bottling

Winemaking

The fruit was machine harvested and fermented separately in stainless steel tanks and fermentation bins. After ML, the wines were moved to neutral French and American oak barrels and aged for about 18 months before blending.
