An almost tropical style of wine with intense aromatics of pineapple, guava, nectarine, peach and floral notes.
The palate is medium to full body with great fresh acidity holding it all together and still showing an abundance of fruit, primarily pineapple and stone fruit with a little bit of minerality showing up on the long finish.
An exotic sister to our legendary Eclipse Red, this aromatic fruit driven wine is a blend of 34% Pinot Blanc, 25% Valvin Muscat, 16% Pinot Gris, 15% Gewurztraminer and 10% Chardonnay.
Each of the lots/varieties were harvested and fermented separately at cool temperatures in stainless steel tanks. This was to preserve acidity and promote the aromatics to make this our most expressive Eclipse White yet. After fermentation the wines simply settled and cold stabilized while we worked on the blending percentages. The wine was assembled early in 2021 and fined with bentonite before being filtered and bottled.

This is an Eclipse that is exciting as a crowd pleasing aperitif or equally on those summer nights with a simple fillet of Finger Lakes Rainbow trout grilled with a side of grilled vegetables or simple summer salad.
