Nose

Wild and rustic, with beautiful wild berry notes surrounded by savory spice and a yeasty note reminiscent of fresh bread.

Harvest

Machine picked in the cool early hours and brought directly to the press for minimal skin contact.

Winemaking

This wine fermented spontaneously and was bottled with just enough residual sugar to produce fine bubbles as it completed fermentation in the bottle.

Produced in the "Carbonic" method, the whole clusters were loaded into Cocciopesto "Drunk Turtle" vessels which were sealed and purged of air. The resulting wine is low tannin and fruit forward, with a distinctive Cabernet Franc nose.

Hand-picked and partially dehydrated prior to fermentation. This wine was pressed off and aged in a combination of two older French Oak Barrels and one Barrel-sized Italian terra cotta "cigar." Dense and rich, with layer upon layer of flavors and aromas.

A blend of all six Pinot Noir clones grown in our estate vineyards, the grapes were handpicked and fermented with about 25% whole clusters, then pressed off and finished in a single 1200 liter Sandstone Jarre where it was aged for 10 months.
