North Fork of Long Island AVA
The North Fork of Long Island is protected from the Atlantic by Peconic Bay. It’s warmer here than the rest of Long Island (including the Hamptons) and receives more sunshine. This means you find more red wines, riper fruit flavors, and fuller bodies compared to some other spots in New York.
The North Fork of Long Island was established in 1986.
