Nose

With bold, bright aromatics this Finger Lakes grown wine has rich notes of honey and apricot mingled with a slight hint of plum on the nose.

Palate

Crisp notes of clementine, honey dew melon, white peach, musk pear, and starfruit on the palate.

Growing Conditions

In 2019 the Finger Lakes—where this fruit was grown—saw a more vigorous growing season than years past, with more sun days at the vineyard. As a result, the grapes ripened earlier than in years past resulting in riper fruit while the pH remained low, the ideal scenario when it comes to white wines. Therefore our 2019 Dry Riesling has a slightly higher residual sugar than years past at 9g/L to balance its lower pH of 2.8.

Bottling

Bottled on 5/10/20.

Winemaking

This Riesling is fermented cool (62 F) to accentuate the flowery, perfumed aromas of the varietal. The vineyard and age of the vines showcase the "minerality".

Aging

This wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks, does not undergo malo-lactic secondary fermentation, and is bottled early to retain a vibrant acidity.

Food Pairing

The bright acidity and soft hint of sweetness in this Dry Riesling make it a classic pairing with a wide variety of Asian cuisines and spicier foods such as sushi, curries, Thai foods, barbecue, and more! This wine will leave you craving a cheese plate and a platter of fish tacos!
